The Lovre and Christmas Market

I had a great nights rest at Corail's place. In the morning I headed out to Sophies. Finding the subway was relatively easy. But actually find the street took more effort. I pretty much stood by the subway and looked lost. Fortunately my handsome features quickly attracted a passbyer who gave me directions to Sophies place. And with that I arrived.

As I got there I realized I had forgotten to ask for the buzzer code and was stuck outside. Luckily someone was about to enter the apartment and they saw me trying to get in. So he asked in French who I was looking for. I told him Sophie but I don't have her phone number. After a few more suspicion filled exchanges the guy asked me finally where are you from. To which I replied Canada. Immediately he opened the door and let me in. It was as if there was no way I could be a bad guy if you are from Canada. I gotta say being a Canadian definitely has its perks.

Sally and I checked out the Lovre. My god is this museum huge or what! The most famous structure people thing about is the pyramids but the pyramids are actually only the entrance. The Lovre has three separate wings which surrounds the pyramids! We got in to see some of the famous paintings the Lovre is reknowned for. Mona Lisa - the most famous was also the most underwhelming and crowd filled. I gotta say it was much smaller than I imagined. My favorite part of the museum visit was the gallery of giant paintings. We also saw the code of Hammurabi and I actually got to touch it! The funniest painting was something I called fabulous Jesus and we reenacted it ourselves!

After the Lovre we checked out the Christmas market and I had my first Parisian macaroons and some other dish made of potatoes. The macaroons were good but I think I will have to try the most famous macaroons in Paris at least in e before I leave Europe.

Look how excited I am to be at the Lovre. Art and shit right?

The law with museums is that the greater the crowd the more disappointed you will be.

Cause you know, Miley Cyrus is like the new Mona Lisa. #YOLO

I call this one the Fabulous Jesus.

The painting was huge and there were so many people around the guy I asked to take the picture really failed to capture the size of the photo. Damn it guy, you had one job!

I actually touched the code of Hammurabi! How cool is that? How many people can say that in the world? This was the highlight of my museum visit!

Peace from Paris.
