Munich day 2 - Neuschwanstein castle, cold hard hustla and Drinking with Germans

For my second day in Munich I checked out the famous Neuschwanstein castle with my new friends. Because we were 5 we got the discount rate and it was only 8 euro for round trip!  Of course that was because of me,  I gelled everyone together! We took the early train at 9 and it was completely packed with tourists going to the castle. By now our contingent had expanded from the original 6 of yesterday. We were joined by an Aussie who lives in London - Adam.  He is hilarious and full of funny stories.  So we bonded over our travel experiences.  He told me about drop bears and so now I know not to be susceptible to these Aussie tricksters haha.

Anyways we arrived at the castle and my friends had to line up in the long ticket line while I took the reserved route which was a breeze.  I had researched up beforehand and knew about the logistics situation and so planned ahead (for once lols).  While at the ticket counter I worked my magic and actually was able to buy tickets for my friends as well so they didn't have to wait in line.  Of course that's what happens when you roll with me - certain perks should be expected ☺
I really should have gotten more tickets than I needed to be honest cause the line was so long I don't think I would have had trouble scalping then for double the price!  But a las friends before money reigned supreme for the day.

We toured the castle which was magnificent,  built by the recluse King Ludwig who never married.  Most suspected he was a homosexual and had such a relationship with his composer friend Richard Wagner the musician.

After the tour we went to the famous bridge where the most famous photos of the castle are taken.  Adam myself,  Megan and Nick took the harrowing climb up the snowed and sloshed in back mountains for a better vantage point free from tourists.  It was definitely not for the feint of hearts.  The roads were slippery from the recent snow melt and every couple of minutes snow from the nearby trees would fall down to or near us with a thundering roar or sometimes with a small whimper.  It doesn't hurt when it hits you but in the pristine landscape it really gives you a jolt.  The most dangerous part of the climb is probably the lack of railings,  a few steps to the left and you will be tumbling down hundreds of feet below to the canyon gorge where even the rescue persons cannot get to you due to the foliage.

But of course everything is fine and we took some amazing photos and hangout at the vantage point just chilling and relaxing.

Me and Adam. Topless photos - we were totally sober lols

I call this pondering

Nick being a boss haha
After we got back to the hostel around 8pm I chilled out in the bar with some new people. I met so many people to name and had great conversations and general schnanagins. I actually met a bunch of UK and Ireland people so now I don't need to find couchsurfers when I visit at the end of April :D Score!

Finally we went back to Jean's again for the second night and this time as he was hosting a party with his German roomates. I invited Sascha as well and was challenged to a drinking game with the German. To find out the result watch below.

I forget everyone's names but my host Sascha is the one winking to my left and Stella is looking like a creep in the back far right lols

To top off the night the Germans were heading to a club but it was already 12am and I needed to get up tomorrow to catch the bus at 8am. So I bid them farewell and headed back with Sascha. But sleeping was not in the cards for me. I stayed up and talked to Sascha and his roomates until 5am. And woke up at 6:30am.

Peace from Munich.

Are MBTI predictors a scam?

I am not a 迷信 person. I want to say that overall I am quite scientific in my thinking and reasoning. That is why I never believe anything to do with astrology, blood types etc. However the MBTI test is science backed... or so I thought.  In the last 3 month since I was hypomanic, I have been down a deep rabbit hole to try to understand myself better.  I recall doing the MBTI test while on a drive to Blue Mountain last year. At the time, my score was INTJ.  Today,  I decided to see if the results still hold up. The results became ENTJ-T.  Finally I decided that maybe just for fun, how does Chatgpt see me?  The prompt I used specifically is: "based on everything i told you so far. ascertain my MBTI. Don't use the chats where I told you I am INTJ"  Again it came back with a different result: ESTP (with unusually strong strategic/reflective traits).  So all that is to say, which one is it? Lols.  I am quite confused myself. To be honest I ha...

Strasbourg encore and dance party!

I arrived in Strasbourg yesterday around 1pm. I saw Michel and Veronique again and it was great. They invited me to a friend's party with "old people" as they called it. I had a great time there and had some really great food! The party guests were really interesting but the best part was the dance floor, the house DJ one of the party guests put on everything from Stromae to Michael Jackson. It was great just dancing around. I have about 2 more days here before heading to Amsterdam and my plane back to Canada. Tomorrow I got a full day going around to the bank and closing my various accounts and tying up loose ends. I wish I took more pictures but I was too busy dancing or enjoying the food haha.  Peace from Strasbourg.

Europe planning

The date for my European trip is fast approaching. I think I am really slacking lately on the planning department. I really didn't do any planning till this week and I am suppose to get on a plan next Monday! Like OMG right. So after sifting through endless amounts of literature online about the train system in Europe and hitchhiking I have really only made some headway in the anxiety department. There is this pass called the Eurorail pass which allows you to travel unlimited for 10 days in the span of 2 month. This was my first choice in terms of getting around Europe since it was cheap (relatively) $550 and allowed me a lot of flexibility in terms of not having to worry about transportation. But the problem is they don't sell it in Europe for non EU residents. They have to mail it to you. Long story short I just ordered it today with express delivery (extra $35). So theoretically it should arrive here on Monday (the day I am suppose to leave). At one point I was considering h...

Published on spotify

I been playing around with Suno AI for music generation recently.  It has helped me process some emotions and events in a creative way. I published the whole album on Spotify in May, 2026.  In the process I learned that you cannot just simply publish songs to Spotify. There is an intricate web of third party middle man who acts as publishers on your behalf.  I don't really have any expectations of making an income with Spotify songs, especially as unpolished as my songs. But they are fun to make and listen to. Publishing it on Spotify has the added benefit of reducing friction for me to listen to my songs. Previously I would have to use a different app to listen to my music.   Here is the link:  https://open.spotify.com/album/5kFlzmaZL1rUNgVP44zmwi?si=FwUWm-lVTc6roishsPJ6tA Peace from Toronto
