Today my couchsurfer and I went to Camargue the National Park that is surrounded by Martigues, Arles and La Gra du Roi.
I had actually already been to the park and rested on its beaches two days ago. My last couchsurfer Gilles took me here with his car. But that time we were on the east side of the park. Today Muriel drove me to the west side of the park and we took her mountain bikes for a ride along the beach.
The view was again dotted with flamingos, marshlands and the sea. Muriel tells me this year they had a rainy season, so the vegetation is much greener than usual.
We arrived at the beach and of course I did what I always do at beaches! Lie in the sun, read and just enjoy my time! I think I overdid it a bit today as I am totally sunburned. But its not that bad and it's only on my chest, definitely not as bad as the skin peeking episode in Japan .
In the evening I met her airbnb guests. They are a family of 4 from Idaho and are traveling around in a car.
Tomorrow I got in touch with my couchsurfer friends I met in St. Tropez and they are living in Gra du Roi. So I will see them again and I am really excited for that!
