Marseille Last day

Today we woke up bright and early at 12pm haha.  After updating my blog I joined the others in the lounge and relaxed a bit before heading back to Loïc's place.

Loic gave some of his stuff to his friend to bring back for him and so I didn't have to carry the yoga mat in my bag anymore.  But that actually worked against me as now Loic drove duster than ever and there were definitely some instances where I felt my life was in danger.  But the adrenaline was pumping and I lived a good life haha.

When we got back I went out and checked out Marseilles.  I walked to the old port and around the local fortresses.  I also took a bus to Notre Dame the church ontop of the hill.  The views were amazing and I spent easily 2 hours there just walking around and enjoying the sun.

In the evening I came back sore from all the walking and had dinner together with Loïc.  He cooked Tangerine soup and showed me some of his photos from his recent moto trip to Portugal.  We played some chess as well and I lost because of my own mistakes. 

Marseilles as a city is not as interesting to me as the other stops along the way.  For me it is way too big and dirty. There was garbage everywhere I walked, and the streets were littered with potholes.  This is definitely not a city for bicycles.

All the same I enjoyed my stay in Marseilles because of Loïc and the highlight was definitely the castle party!

Peace from Marseilles.
