Manchester and blablacar to Bristol

So in the morning I toured around Manchester.

Manchester was heavily bombed during WW2 so not many old historical buildings remains.

I did not really like anything in particular in Manchester.  And one day is definitely enough to explore most of the tourist attractions.  So I booked my blablacar to Bristol.

There was some mix-up with the driver.  She originally told me she could pick me up in Manchester but later told me I should come meet her in Warrington a 20 minute train ride away from the city.  It would have made no difference to me except that the blablacar cost 14£ and the train ride would have cost £8.

So I got sneaky and didn't buy my train tickets.  Instead I was going to simply jump on the train.  When I left Manchester there was ticket collectors at the main entrance to the platforms.  I was thinking of great I have to buy tickets.  As I was lining up I realized that they were not posted at every entrance and all the platforms were connected.  So I simply walked in from another platform and was on my way!

When I finally arrived in Bristol I met up with my friend Leo who is from Canada and doing his Euro trip.  I chilled in his hostel and played some drinking games with some hostel people before I headed out to Prakash my couchsurfer.

Prakash had a really nice and central location in the city.  He helped me do my laundry and we watched the newest episode of Game of thrones before heading off to bed.

Peace from Bristol.
