So my friend Jen that I stayed with in Glasgow was also in Bristol so we toured the city together with Prakash in the evening.
In the day time I explored Bristol by myself. I was mainly interested in the Banksy graffitis. So I do loaded a Google map of all his artworks and set off. It was like a treasure hunt and I walked from the center to the Norther edge of the city.
A lot of his artwork has either faded or been completely painted over. But I did meet some really cool people along the way. For example I met a guy at a woodworking shop who gave me a tour of the upper floor where some graffiti are still there. I also met Obie a dude from London who took me around the area of the Canteen. He also introduced me to two artists with their own small studio. When we walked in Obie was really happy about a vinyl he had bought for 2£. The artist said: "£2 that's a good deal! If I frame that and put it up it would be worth 50£!" I thought this was hilarious as this is exactly what Banksy was trying to say with a lot of his artwork.
In the evening Prakash took us to the Canteen and we had some locally grown food for dinner. And Prakash paid for the whole thing! He also took us to see more graffiti in Bristol, a lot of which I totally missed in my day trip.
Unfortunately I had to head out to go to my couchsurfer in Bath so I caught a bus at 10pm and said goodbyes.
