Today is the last night we have in Kobe. The city known for its world famous Kobe beef.
Of course we had to try some before we left. So after researching around we went to Moriya's for lunch today. I balled out and got the highest grade Kobe beef A5 quality beef. It was almost $100. So was it worth it? It was definitely very tasty and delicious. The beef was well marbled and almost melts in your mouth. I don't know about the price tag though. But I can now say I have tasted Kobe beef.
We checked out our first Onsen yesterday. Compared to Korea it was very similar. You are given a uniform as you walk in and the Onsen area are gender segregated. There are also separate areas you can explore such as relaxation room, foot massage area and food area. But again the price tag was the sticking point. For $20 to enter the Onsen vs. $14 in Korea. Also the one in Korea Busan was much bigger and nicer. But we will probably try more Onsen in Osaka and Tokyo so I still have high hopes.
Tonight was accidentally stumbled into a festival by a temple near downtown Kobe. There was lots of cool performances of songs dance and cute heavy metal bands.
Overall Kobe turned out to be the most expensive city for me so far. I must have dropped around $200-300 for food and entertainment alone in Kobe for 3 days.
Peace from Kobe.
