It is officially the new year 2013 here in Thailand.
I am never a big guy on special dates or occasions. The turning of a year is no exception. But not wanting to feel like a loner on the first day of 2013 I decided to go out with my friends to the beach and watch some fireworks.
We arrived at Nai Harn beach which was packed to the new years celebrations. Floating lanterns were set adrift every few seconds by the revelers and lit up the night sky. It was a perfect backdrop to a perfect place.
But the highlight of my night was when we broke off from the main group and went for a late dinner or early 2013 breakfast with my two good friends Nina and Jordan. We had some really good conversations about relationships and love. Just sharing each others' views and listening to others opinions on deep subject matters like these really are what the human condition is all about.
Anyways first post of 2013, tomorrow is another rest day because of new years day. So yay for sleeping in.
